The Roman Catholic chapel Maria, Hilfe der Christians is the chapel of the hamlet Hillenberg , a district of the municipality Hausen in the Lower Franconian district of Rhön-Grabfeld . The chapel is one of the architectural monuments of Hausen and is registered under the number D-6-73-129-18 in the Bavarian list of monuments . The parish of Hausen is part of the parish community Fladungen - Nordheim vor der Rhön .

history

The chapel was built in 1950 not far from the remains of the former Hildenburg .

description

It is a simple building made of Rhön basalt . There is a roof turret above the gable of the nave with three window axes . The south-west facing choir is closed on three sides. The nave has a barrel vault .

Furnishing

The jewel of the chapel is the painting of Our Lady with a depiction of the village of Hausen on the choir wall. It is a work by the painter Alois Schiffhauer from Melpers . Two bells with the tones h '' and d '' 'hang in the roof turret.
