Maria-Joëlle Conjungo

Maria-Joëlle Conjungo (born July 14, 1975 in Bangui ) is a former athlete from the Central African Republic who specialized in the 100 meter hurdles . She always represented her home country at international championships, but also has French citizenship .

Conjungo's greatest sporting success was winning the bronze medal in the 100 meter hurdles at the African Athletics Championships 2000 in Algiers. She also took part in the 1999 World Athletics Championships in Seville and 2003 in Paris, as well as the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 2000 and Athens in 2004 , but never qualified for a final there.

Maria-Joëlle Conjungo is 1.70 m tall and had a competition weight of 60 kg. She was featured as a photo model on the official advertising posters of the 2003 World Athletics Championships in Paris. Her older brother Mickaël Conjungo is a multiple Olympic participant and in 1993 was the African champion in the discus throw .
