Maria Dietz born Hilgers (born February 7, 1894 in Düsseldorf , † April 12, 1980 in Mainz ) was a German CDU politician .

Maria Dietz was a teacher until 1922, then active in the Catholic women's movement and the world peace movement for mothers and educators until 1933.

After the end of the Second World War, Maria Dietz was committed to building a Christian-oriented party in Mainz and in 1945 co-founded the Christian-Social People's Party in Rheinhessen, a forerunner of the CDU. She was also the chairwoman of the regional women's committee in Mainz.

From September 7, 1949 to October 6, 1957, she was a member of the German Bundestag for two electoral terms . She was elected from the CDU state list in Rhineland-Palatinate .

Until the mid-1960s she taught in Mainz as a French teacher at the Theresianum , a Catholic high school sponsored by the Diocese of Mainz (until 2013 the Johannesbund ).
