Maria Jasin (* 1956 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American molecular biologist at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and at the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Cornell University .
Jasin earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Florida Atlantic University and a Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . She worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Zurich and Stanford University before moving to the MSKCC in 1990 and becoming a professor at Cornell University.
