Maria Klein

Maria Klein is a German table tennis player . In 1958 she was German runner-up in doubles.

Career

Maria Klein began her career at the TG Essen-West association. In 1954 she won the West German girls' championships in singles, doubles (with Ingrid Kussin) and mixed (with Josef Wenninghoff ), a year later again in mixed with Horst Terbeck. At the German school championships she was third in the mixed with Horst Terbeck in 1954/55. In 1955 she moved to the upper division club FC Schalke 04 , and in 1956 to DSC Kaiserberg . With his women's team, she reached third place in the German team championship in 1957.

At the national German championships, Maria Klein reached the quarter-finals four times, namely in 1956 and 1957 in doubles with Helene Klonisch and in 1958 in singles and mixed with Horst Langer . She achieved her greatest success at these championships in 1958 when she reached the final in doubles with Hilde Gröber , which was lost to Hannelore Schlaf / Ursel Fiedler .

In 1959 she joined the TTC Black-Yellow Steele.

Private

In 1965 Maria Klein married Karl Stuhldreher, the supervisor of the men's team at DJK TuSA 06 Düsseldorf .
