Maria Lindenmeier

Maria Lindenmeier (born Maria Zwingenberger ; * July 27, 1923 in Hohenstein-Ernstthal ; † December 29, 2016 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Maria Lindenmeier was born in Saxony. After graduating from high school, she worked as an agricultural assistant and commercial clerk. In 1965 she joined the SPD, was a bourgeois member of the municipal council of Heikendorf in local politics and from 1970 to 1975 a member of the district council of Plön . From 1960 to 1975 she was managing director of the Schleswig-Holstein regional association of the European Union .

In 1975 she was elected to the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein via the state list of the SPD . She was a full member of the Social Committee, the Submission Committee and, from 1977, the Agriculture Committee. In 1979 and 1983 she moved back into the state parliament via the state list and was a member of it until 1987.

From 1979 to 1988 she was a member of the permanent advisory board at the Federal Compensation Office .

She was a union member and belonged to the workers' welfare , the DRK , the German-Polish Society and Amnesty International .
