Maria Ludovica Costa (born December 24, 2000 in Genoa ) is an Italian rower . Together with Sofia Tanghetti, she won the silver medal in the lightweight two-man without helmsman at the 2019 rowing world championships .

Career

In 2017, Maria Ludovica Costa took part in the Junior Rowing World Championships for the first time in her career . In Trakai , she was part of the crew of the quadruple at the 2017 Junior Rowing World Championships . In addition to her, Sofia Tanghetti , Laura Pagnoncelli and Greta Martinelli were also part of the crew. Together they could not qualify for the A final and had to start in the B final, in which they took third place behind the two boats from the Czech Republic and Russia. In the final statement, they took ninth place. In the following year, Maria Ludovica Costa took part in the 2018 Junior Rowing World Championships and started in double sculls with Ilaria Corazza .
