Sofia Tanghetti took part in the Junior Rowing World Championships for the first and only time in her career in 2017 . At the Junior World Championships 2017 in Trakai started as part of the double fours. In addition to her, Laura Pagnoncelli , Greta Martinelli and Maria Ludovica Costa were on the boat's crew. They missed the A-final and finished third in the B-final behind the boats from the Czech Republic and Russia, so that they finally finished ninth.
