Sofia Tanghetti (born May 3, 1999 in Genoa ) is an Italian rower . In 2019 she won the silver medal together with Maria Ludovica Costa at the rowing world championships in lightweight two-man without a helmsman.

Career

Sofia Tanghetti took part in the Junior Rowing World Championships for the first and only time in her career in 2017 . At the Junior World Championships 2017 in Trakai started as part of the double fours. In addition to her, Laura Pagnoncelli , Greta Martinelli and Maria Ludovica Costa were on the boat's crew. They missed the A-final and finished third in the B-final behind the boats from the Czech Republic and Russia, so that they finally finished ninth. In 2019 she started for the first time in her career at the U23 Rowing World Championships . At the U23 World Championships 2019 , which took place near Sarasota and Bradenton , she was part of the crew of the lightweight double-pair without a helmsman.
