Maria Mönch-Tegeder
Maria Mönch-Tegeder (born April 8, 1903 in Mehringen near Emsbüren , † December 31, 1980 in Salzbergen ) was a German poet.
Mönch-Tegeder attended the Lyceum in Münster-Sankt Mauritz , after which she completed an apprenticeship as a trade teacher for domestic technical schools. After several years of residence far from her home in the Emsland , she was employed at the district vocational school in Meppen in 1936 . After training in air raid protection, she had the opportunity to travel around the towns and villages of the Emsland; this gave them the opportunity to collect old stories and put them in writing.
She died in Salzbergen in 1980 and was buried in the Emsbüren cemetery. She is an aunt of Theo Mönch-Tegeder .
