Maria Patrona Bavariä Chapel in Ried

The Maria Patrona Bavariä chapel in Ried , a district of the market town of Unterthingau in the Ostallgäu district in Bavaria , is a chapel built in 1690 that is dedicated to Our Lady and Saints Francis of Assisi and Antonius of Padua .

In 1762 the chapel was given permission to hold a trade fair . The building consists of a two-axis nave and a three-sided choir . It is crowned by a wooden roof turret.

Inside there is an altar from around 1900 with figures of the three church patrons from the 18th century. The ceiling painting in the choir refers to the two images of grace in the chapel of grace of St. Stephan in the Oberthingau church of St. Stephan. The fresco on the ceiling of the nave shows the Holy Family and dates from 1937.
