The Catholic chapel Maria Schnee in Unterschondorf , a district of the community Schondorf am Ammersee in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech , was built in 1889. The chapel on Seestrasse, located on a terrace above the Ammersee , is a protected architectural monument .

The small gable roof building was built in the newly emerging villa district south of the old village center. The owner of the villa opposite Karla Maria (Seestraße 19), Caroline Dreyer, had the chapel built by the builder Johann Berchtold from Erling . In 1915 the Third Order of the Franciscans inherited the villa and the chapel.

The one- axis chapel with a semicircular apse and ridge turret faces the Ammersee . It is structured by a circumferential, profiled eaves cornice and large glare fields. The east side is a round arch frieze highlighted.

Inside the small hall is vaulted with groin vaults . The apse is painted with angels of the seraphic rosary . A wood-carved Madonna stands on the canteen of the altar .

To bauzeit handy features include the fields door with iron fittings, the banks, the Way of the Cross , the hanging lamp and the offertory .
