Maria Strøm Nakstad (born December 17, 1991 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Nakstad achieved her first top 15 result in the Scandinavian Cup in November 2013 with eleventh place over 10 km freestyle in Vuokatti ; In February 2014 she achieved her first top 5 place in Madona in the same discipline with fifth place. On December 12, 2014, she won the 10 km freestyle race in Lillehammer as part of the Scandinavian Cup . On December 20, 2014, Nakstad started in Davos for the first time in the cross-country skiing world cup and achieved her first world cup points with a 21st place over 10 km freestyle. In the 2015/16 season she came in seven individual participations in the World Cup, five times in the points and reached 59th place in the overall World Cup. In the Scandinavian Cup she won in Vuokatti and Östersund both over 10 km freestyle and achieved tenth place in the overall ranking of the Scandinavian Cup. In March 2016 she won the Storlirennet in Meråker over 36 km freestyle.
