Mariana Castillo Deball

Mariana Castillo Deball (* 1975 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican artist .

Life

Castillo Deball studied art from 1993 to 1997 at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City, where he graduated with a Master of Arts . In 1999, she passed a master's degree in philosophy at the private Universidad Iberoamericana in her hometown. From 2002 to 2003 she attended the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht in the Netherlands as part of a postgraduate course .

Castille Deball lives and works in both Berlin and Amsterdam . Solo exhibitions of her work have taken place in Europe as well as in California and her homeland. In 2012 she exhibited at dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel .

Since 2015 she has succeeded Ayşe Erkmen as a professor of sculpture at the Art Academy in Münster .
