Marianne Sessi

Marianne Sessi (* 1770 (?, Other information: 1776) in Rome , † March 10, 1847 in Vienna ) was an Italian opera singer .

Marianne Sessi was the eldest of five daughters of the singer Giovanni Sessi. In her youth she moved to Vienna with her family. She made her debut at the Italian Opera in Vienna in 1793. In 1795 she married the businessman Franz Josef Natorp and interrupted her career until his death in 1804. She then performed as a singer in Italy, Portugal, England, Austria, Germany and Scandinavia. She last performed in Hamburg in 1836, then was a singing teacher in Berlin and finally moved back to Vienna.
