Mariano Laurenti

Mariano Laurenti (born April 15, 1929 in Rome ) is an Italian director .

Life

Laurenti began as an assistant director in the 1950s, after having been involved in a few films as the editing secretary, with directors such as Mario Mattòli , Giorgio Bianchi , Dino Risi and Steno . The latter can be called his teacher; They worked together for seven years. Laurenti has worked in this capacity for around forty films.

His first film under his own responsibility - like most of his 50 films a comedy - he made in 1966; This was followed by hit films , works with the duo Franco & Ciccio , comedies in the Decamerone environment and finally numerous sexy comedies , many of which were marketed in the German-speaking area as parts of the "Flotten-Teens" series and a superficial, rough treatment in cut and Experienced synchronization. Together with Michele Massimo Tarantini , he was at least quantitatively the outstanding representative of this film genre. For this and other audience successes, e.g. B. with Nino D'Angelo , he also wrote the scripts mostly himself. A comeback attempt in 1996 failed on a large scale.
