They both meet in the nearby town when Billy helps Larry, who is losing a card game. After the following brawl, Larry reveals to his new friend that he has a sack of gold. Billy now tries to cheat Larry out of his money; a back and forth begins. It turns out that the Pratt family is looking for Billy to get revenge for the shooting of two sons. Billy and Larry hide on Larry's run-down ranch and put the Pratts in a showdown.
Reviews
“Comedic Western; not a successful parody of the genre, but quite entertaining. "
“Despite the clean staging, the film is quite a disappointment. This is primarily due to a very episodesque script that consistently denies the film a continuous arc of suspense. "
“Director Petroni renounces the usual brutality, caricatured western clichés and points with an outstretched index finger to various other inadequacies of the genre. A film that is fun. "
“The opening scene is one of the best in the genre. The silent burying of the stagecoach passengers is accompanied by an unforgettable, whistled Morricone piece. Unfortunately the film becomes pretty aimless afterwards. "
