Marie-Jean-Gustave Blanc
Marie-Jean-Gustave Blanc MEP (born May 6, 1844 in Reugney , France , † February 21, 1890 in Seoul ) was a French bishop of the Paris Mission .
Life
Blanc was ordained a priest of the Paris Mission on December 22, 1866. On July 26, 1882 he was by Pope Leo XIII. Appointed Coadjutor - Vicar Apostolic of Korea and Titular Bishop of Antigonea . On July 8, 1883, Bernard-Thadée Petitjean MEP, Vicar Apostolic of South Japan , donated him episcopal ordination with the assistance of Joseph-Marie Laucaigne MEP, auxiliary bishop in the Vicariate Apostolic South Japan, in Nagasaki . On June 20, 1884, he succeeded Félix Clair Ridel as Vicar Apostolic of Korea and died on February 21, 1890.
