Marie-Luise Könneker

Marie-Luise Könneker (born May 20, 1945 in Remlingen ) is a German author .

Life

After elementary school in Remlingen and the modern high school in Wolfenbüttel , where she graduated from high school in 1965, she studied German literature, psychology and linguistics at the University of Bonn and at the TU Berlin with Walter Höllerer , Volker Klotz and Norbert Miller . She received her doctorate in 1975 in Berlin with a thesis on Struwwelpeter by Heinrich Hoffmann for Dr. phil.

Marie-Luise Könneker lived with the painter and graphic artist Gernot Bubenik in Berlin from 1973 to 1984 and has two children with him: a daughter, Kea Könneker (* 1977), and a son, Till Könneker (* 1980).

She has lived in Bern since 1984 . She gave readings and a. at the Solothurn Literature Days and deals with puppets and objets trouvés .

Könneker also wrote columns for the Berner Stadtanzeiger for three years and works as a temporary editor for her partner, the author and psychotherapist Esther Fischer-Homberger in Bern. In 1998, Könneker was awarded a literature prize by the city of Bern for her novel “Nora's House”.

In 2014, Könneker was awarded the canton of Bern's literary prize for outstanding literary work for her book “Asseblick”.

Since 2001 she has lived and worked for a large part of the year in a former water mill in Auvergne , France, where she also offers a place to write.
