Marie-Luise Schmidt (born January 20, 1958 in Gießen ) is a German artist agent and former journalist and politician ( Die Grünen ).

Life

After graduating from high school in Bethel in 1976 , Schmidt began studying pedagogy in 1978, which she completed in 1984 as a qualified pedagogue. She was active in the women's movement from 1976 and in politics for 13 years from 1978. In 1978 she was one of the founders of the Bielefeld Colorful List , for which she sat on the city council from 1982 to 1984. In 1984 she joined the party The Greens . In 1986, she was Assistant to the Group Chairman of the Hamburg GAL - parliamentary group . In 1989 she entered the German Bundestag via the Hamburg Green State List . On February 20, during the 11th electoral term , she took over the Bundestag mandate from the member of parliament Regula Schmidt-Bott, who left on the principle of rotation . She belonged to the group of the Greens , from October 4, 1990 until the end of the parliamentary term on December 20, 1990 of the group of the Greens / Alliance 90 . From February to May 1989 she was a full member of the Home Affairs Committee , then the Committee on Youth, Family, Women and Health . In 1990 Schmidt went to the television station Premiere as an editor and was involved in the development of the talk show 0137 , with which Roger Willemsen's television career began. After completing a producer qualification program at Bertelsmann , she worked as a junior producer at Grundy-Ufa for almost two years . In 1996 she and a business partner founded the artist agency agenten GmbH in Hamburg , which represents well-known actors, directors and cameramen. At the beginning of 2000, the agency relocated its headquarters to Berlin .
