Marie-Paule Gnabouyou (born March 4, 1988 in Marseille , France ) is a French handball player . She plays handball for the French first division team Toulon Saint-Cyr Var and in the French national handball team .

Career

Marie-Paule Gnabouyou initially played for the French clubs ASPTT Marseille, Plan-de-Cuques and Issy-les-Moulineaux . From 2008 the back court player ran for Toulon Saint-Cyr Var handball . With Toulon, she won the French championship in 2010 and the French cup in 2011 and 2012. From the 2015/16 season she was under contract with the Danish club Viborg HK . In the summer of 2017, she joined the Hungarian first division club Siófok KC . After her pregnancy was announced, her contract was terminated by mutual agreement in December 2017. In October 2018 she joined the Slovenian first division club RK Krim . For the 2019/20 season she moved to the French club Toulon Saint-Cyr Var Handball.

Gnabouyou initially ran for the French national youth team, with which they took 3rd place at the U-17 European Championship in 2005 and 4th place at the U-18 World Cup in 2006. On September 21, 2010 she made her debut for the French national team. Her greatest successes with the French selection were winning the silver medal at the 2011 World Cup and winning the bronze medal at the 2016 European Championships .
