Marie Böckel-Grosch (* December 2, 1900 as Marie Grosch in Wörrstadt , † December 3, 1988 in Mainz ) was a German lawyer and local politician .

Marie Grosch studied law in Munich, Frankfurt am Main and Giessen. In 1930 she was admitted to the bar and settled in Mainz as a lawyer. As a lawyer, she mainly worked in family law. In 1931 she married the lawyer Hermann Böckel, with whom she had two children, and since then has had the double name Böckel-Grosch.

Until 1933 Böckel-Grosch was involved in the liberal German State Party . After the Second World War she took part in the establishment of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) in Mainz. From 1960 to 1969 she was a member of the Mainz city council for the FDP. As a lawyer and politician, Böckel-Grosch campaigned for a reform of marriage law and for the improvement of the legal situation of women. In addition, she worked for the German Women's Ring and for Pro Familia .

In 1965 Böckel-Grosch was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class . In 1969 she was appointed judiciary . In 1970 she received the Roman Imperial Medallion of the City of Mainz , and in 1975 the Ring of Honor of the City of Mainz.

Marie Böckel-Grosch and her husband Hermann Böckel are buried in the main cemetery in Mainz not far from the old crematorium.
