Marie Gisèle Eleme Asse (born November 13, 1995 in Yaoundé ) is a Cameroonian sprinter .

Athletic career

Marie Gisèle Eleme Asse gained her first international experience at the 2011 Youth World Championships near Lille , where she reached the semi-finals in the 200-meter run , in which she no longer started. The following year she was eliminated in the first round of the Junior World Championships in Barcelona in 25.12 s. In 2015 she reached the semi-finals at the African Games in Brazzaville over 100 and 200 meters and was sixth with the Cameroonian 4 x 100 meter relay in 45.27 s. She also reached the semi-finals in the 100-meter run at the 2016 African Championships in Durban , where she was eliminated with 11.85 s and sixth in the 4 x 100-meter relay in 46.23 s. In 2017 she won the bronze medal behind the teams from Bahrain and Nigeria in 46.78 seconds at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku . In addition, she was eighth over 100 meters with 11.99 s. This was followed by winning the silver medal with the relay and over 100 meters at the Francophonie Games in Abidjan . In 2018 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time, where she was eliminated with 11.88 s in the first round over 100 meters. In addition, she reached sixth place in the Cameroonian 4 x 100 meter relay in 45.24 s.
