Marie Rosa Günter

Marie Rosa Günter (* 1991 in Braunschweig ) is a German pianist who specializes in classical music .

Life

Marie Rosa Günter received her first piano lessons at the age of six and was then a young student at the Institute for the Early Promotion of Musically Gifted Students at the Hanover University of Music with Matti Raekallio and Jelena Levit until 2010 . Since 2010 she has been studying in Bernd Goetzke's class . Günter has performed at festivals such as the Leipzig Bach Festival , the Koethener Bach Festival, the Würzburger Bach Festival , the Braunschweig Classix Festival and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival . Her debut CD with the Goldberg Variations by Johann Sebastian Bach was released in 2016 on the “ GENUIN classics ” label.

Awards and grants

Marie Rosa Günter has won various national and international competitions. Worth mentioning in this context are the WDR3 Classic Prize from the city of Münster, first prizes at the International Steinway Piano Competition in Hamburg and the Grotrian-Steinweg Piano Competition and awards from the German Music Life Foundation. With the cellist Stanislas Kim, the pianist won prizes at the “8th International Swedish Duo Competition” and the “12th Concours International de Musique de Chambre de Lyon”. Thanks to a scholarship from the German Music Competition, Marie Rosa Günter was accepted into the “Federal Selection of Young Artists Concerts” for the 2016/2017 season.
