Marija Ilyinichna Ulyanova
Marija Ilyinichna Ulyanov ( Russian Мария Ильинична Ульянова ; born February 6 . Jul / 18th February 1878 greg. In Simbirsk ; † 12. June 1937 in Moscow ) was a Russian revolutionary and the youngest sister of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin .
Life
Marija Ilyinichna Ulyanova was the youngest child of Marija Alexandrovna Ulyanova and Ilya Nikolajewitsch Ulyanov . She became a member of the RSDLP in 1898 and did party work in Petersburg , Moscow and Saratov . From 1900 she worked for Lenin's Iskra newspaper . After the February Revolution of 1917 and until 1929 she was a member of the editorial board and responsible secretary of Pravda . In 1917 she took an active part in the October Revolution . She was repeatedly elected to the Central Control Commission and the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union .
Marija Ilyinichna died in June 1937. Her urn grave is in the necropolis on the Kremlin wall .
