Marija Jurjewna Novolodskaja , also Mariia Novolodskaia , ( Russian Мария Юрьевна Новолодская ; born July 28, 1999 in Veliky Novgorod ) is a Russian cyclist who competes on track and road .
Athletic career
In 2016, Marija Novolodskaja became Junior World Champion in the single pursuit , at the Junior European Championships she won silver in the same discipline. In the individual time trial of the juniors, she finished fifth at the road world championships . In the following year she won two medals at the Junior World Championships and four medals at the Junior European Championships on the track; at the road world championships she was fourth in the road race and fifth in the individual time trial.
In 2018 Novolodskaya received a contract with the Cogeas-Mettler team . At the Czech cycling race Gracia Orlová she won the junior ranking and was third in the overall ranking. She was able to repeat these placements in 2019. At the Tour de Feminin - O cenu Českého Švýcarska , she finished fourth in 2018. She also finished fourth in the 2019 Tour of Uppsala overall standings . At the European Games 2019 she won bronze together with Diana Klimowa in the two-man team driving and also bronze at the U23 European championships in the single pursuit and two-man team driving (with Marija Miliajewa ).
Private
Marija Novolodskaja grew up with eleven siblings. In addition to her cycling career, she studies at a university in Saint Petersburg .
