Marija Vukčević (born April 26, 1986 in Titograd , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Montenegrin soccer player.

Career

Vukčević started her career at ŽFK Podgorica. In 2001 she left Podgorica and moved to ŽFK Mašinac Niš , where she made her debut in the Prva zenska league at the age of only 15 . In the 2002/03 season she was the youngest player to qualify for the UEFA Women's Cup at the age of 16 .

At the age of 18 Vukčević left Serbia-Montenegro and moved to the Italian Serie A for ASD Domoconfort Lecce for the 2004/05 season . In Lecce, however, she did not get a chance and one season later moved to the A2 series for ASD Cavaliere Matera . In the southern Italian region of Basilicata , she developed into a top performer and after two years moved to league rivals Acmei Bari . In the 2007/08 season she was fifth in Serie A2 with Bari and moved to ASD Vis Francavilla in June 2008. At Vis Francavilla, she built on her performance at Matera and took sixth place in the A2 series with her team. So she recommended herself in the summer of 2009 for a contract with Serie A club ACF Brescia , but couldn't get by there due to persistent injuries and returned to Serie A2 for the 2010/11 season and signed with ASD Real Marsico .

International

Vukčević played in 35 international matches until 2006 for the Serbian-Montenegrin national football team . She made her debut for the Montenegrin women's national soccer team in March 2012 and scored the first international goal for Montenegro.

Private

In Italy she forms a training group with the Montenegrin football professionals Simon Vukčević , Igor Burzanović , Goran Burzanović , Stevan Jovetic and Mirko Vucinic .
