Marijana Grandits

Marijana Grandits (born November 5, 1954 in Stinatz ) is an Austrian documentary filmmaker and former politician ( GRÜNE ). Grandits was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1990 to 1994 .

Life

After completing compulsory school, Grandits attended the music education grammar school, where she graduated from high school in 1973. She then studied Slavic Studies and Sports Science at the University of Vienna from 1973 to 1982 , completing her studies with the academic degree Magistra . In addition, Grandits studied at the Bologna Center at Johns Hopkins University from 1982 to 1983 , earned a diploma in international relations and completed studies abroad in Zagreb , Krakow and Moscow . From 1986 to 1988 she also trained as a play teacher at the Remscheid Academy . After an internship in the department for foreign trade relations at the European Community in Brussels , Grandits worked as a teacher at BG / BRG Mattersburg from 1984 to 1985 . From 1985 to 1988 she was managing director of the Europahaus Eisenstadt and from 1988 freelance advisor for development issues. She also worked on various ORF documentaries from 1988 and wrote the three-part documentary Die Jüdische Marguerite between 1989 and 1990 .

politics

Marijana Grandits represented the Greens between November 5, 1990 and November 6, 1994 in the National Council. After her political career, Grandits was, among other things, director of the Stability Pact for South-East Europe.
