Marik Vos-Lundh

Marik Vos-Lundh (birth name: Marie-Anne Ericsson * 3. June 1923 in Petrograd , Soviet Union ; † 13. July 1994 in Vamlingbo , Gotland , Sweden ) was a native of the Soviet Union Swedish mask and costume , the one among other Won the Oscar for Best Costume Design and was nominated two more times for an Oscar in this category.

Marik Vos-Lundh began her career as a hairdresser and make-up artist, then in 1958 as a costume designer in the film industry for the television film Hughie and was involved in the costume design of eight films.

In 1961 she was nominated for the Oscar for the best costume design for the first time, namely for Die Jungfrauenquelle (1960) by Ingmar Bergman with Max von Sydow , Birgitta Valberg and Birgitta Pettersson in the leading roles . She got a second nomination for an Oscar in this category in 1974 for Screams and Whispers (1972) from Ingmar Bergman with Harriet Andersson , Kari Sylwan and Ingrid Thulin .

At the Academy Awards in 1984 she finally won the Oscar for best costume design in the film Fanny and Alexander (1982), also directed by Ingmar Bergman with Bertil Guve , Pernilla Allwin and Allan Edwall . She was also nominated for the 1984 British Academy Film Award for Best Costumes for this film .
