Marilyn White
Marilyn Elaine White (born October 17, 1944 in Los Angeles ) is a former American athlete who predominantly competed in the 100-meter run .
White became the 1963 Amateur Athletic Union champion over 220 yards . In the same year she won the bronze medal in the 100-meter run at the Pan American Games in São Paulo behind her compatriot Edith McGuire and the Cuban Miguelina Cobián and together with Vivian Brown , Willye White and Norma Harris won the 4-times-100 Meter relay .
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, White won the silver medal in the relay together with Willye White, Wyomia Tyus and Edith McGuire. In the 100-meter run, she just missed another medal. Behind Tyus and McGuire, the Polish Ewa Kłobukowska pushed them to fourth place and prevented a US triumph.
