Mario Ambrosino

Mario Ambrosino (* 4. January 1936 in Venice ) is an Italian actor , stage and costume designer .

Life

Ambrosino won a prize at the Festival of Amateur Drama Groups in 1953 for a performance in Jean Anouilh's Eurydice and, at the advice of Laura Carli, took up the acting profession professionally. He played in the ensembles around Emma Gramatica and Enrico Maria Salerno and began a film career in character roles from 1955. He also worked for the radio and took on small synchronous roles. In 1961 he ended his acting career and turned to film equipment and costume design.

From 1967 he worked in these roles for several important films, including Federico Fellini's Amarcord , Alberto Lattuada's Bianco, rosso e… and Damiano Damiani's Girolimoni il mostro di Roma . Also commercial products such as spaghetti westerns and light comedies emerged with its employees. Occasionally Ambrosino also worked for television.
