Mario Hergueta (* 1967 in Flörsheim am Main ) is a German artist .

Life

Mario Hergueta was born in 1967 in Flörsheim / Main and studied art history and fine arts from 1988 to 1995 in Frankfurt and Mainz. He became a master student of Ansgar Nierhoff . After his lectureship at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz , he founded the net.art gallery “artcart” in 1999 , whose program he curated until 2002. Mario Hergueta works with various media and creates a work of pictures, sculptures, drawings, net art and installations.

Mario Hergueta has received awards and grants. His work has been presented internationally and is represented in public and private collections. Hergueta is a member of the German Association of Artists . He lives in Nauheim .
