Mario Kern (born August 16, 1969 in Riesa ) is a former German football player.

Career

Kern began his career at BSG Stahl Riesa and later joined FSV Lok Dresden , which delegated him to SG Dynamo Dresden in 1982. In 1984 he was GDR champion with the student team, in 1986 Dynamo took him on to the junior team, with which he played in the junior league. With her he became junior champion in 1988. Between 1986 and 1988 he was part of the GDR junior national team, for which he played 28 international matches. For the 1989/90 season , Kern was nominated as a midfielder for the DDR Oberliga team from Dynamo Dresden. However, he was only used in one league game this season. It was not until the 23rd match day in the match 1. He then let his career end with the district league club BSV Sebnitz.

After his active career, Kern worked as a trainer for the lower-class clubs BSV Sebnitz, SG Motor Wilsdruff and most recently SV Bannewitz, where he was on leave in December 2008. From July 2009 to October 2010 Mario Kern again trained the district class team of BSV 68 Sebnitz .
