Mario Staller

Mario Staller (born July 9, 1982 in Bad Kissingen ) is a German Ju-Jutsu athlete and double world champion in Ju-Jutsu Fighting.

Staller began martial arts at the age of 12. At the age of 15 he won the Bavarian championships. In 1998, at the age of 16, he won the German Open. He was then appointed to the national team. At the World Games 2005 in Duisburg he was second in his weight class. At the 2006 World Cup he won the bronze medal after losing in the semifinals. In 2008 he became world champion in the class up to 77 kilograms. . At the World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung / Taiwan he was able to achieve 2nd place in his weight class. In 2010 he won the first World Combat Games in Beijing and was able to defend his title as world champion in Saint Petersburg .

The sports scientist Staller trained at the Judo Club Wiesbaden in 1922 . He is a former police officer and was an operational trainer for self-defense, shooting and operational tactics. Staller has authored several books on ju-jutsu and weight training. He runs a martial arts school where Krav Maga is offered for children and adults.
