Marion Fischer

Marion Fischer (born July 17, 1951 in Merseburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After completing her vocational training as a chemical laboratory assistant in 1969, Marion Fischer completed a degree in Romance languages at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg , which she graduated in 1973. Then she worked as a French teacher in 1973/1975 in the graduation year. In 1975 she joined the family business and after reunification became managing director of Fischer Anlagenbau GmbH Merseburg.

Marion Fischer is Protestant, married and has one son.

Political party

Marion Fischer joined the CDU after the fall of the Wall in 1990 and was active in various board positions in the party. From 1991 she was district chairman of the CDU. She was also active in the MIT of the CDU / CSU. There she was a member of the federal executive committee and 1993 deputy federal chairwoman. In 1996 she was a member of the board of the CDU Economic Council.

MPs

In the state elections in 1994 and 1998 , she was on the national list of the CDU in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt selected. In the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 2002 , she was elected to the state parliament as a directly elected member of the Merseburg constituency with 38.4% of the first vote.

In the state parliament she was a member of the committee for economy, technology and European affairs since the second electoral term and also in the council of elders since the third electoral term. In the fourth electoral term, she was Chair of the Economy and Labor Committee.
