Marion Junge (born July 24, 1963 in Leipzig ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). In September 2009 she moved into the state parliament of Saxony on behalf of the Left , to which she was a member until 2019.

Young attended the Advanced School in Leipzig and made 1982 the Abitur . She then studied at the University of Education in Potsdam until 1987 and graduated as a qualified teacher . She then worked as a teacher of mathematics, geography and social studies until she moved into the state parliament.

Junge became a member of the SED in 1989 and then the PDS and the Left. She has been a city ​​councilor in Kamenz since 1990, where she has also been the parliamentary group leader since 2003, and was Deputy Mayor from 2004 until her resignation in 2018. In September 2009 she entered the state parliament of Saxony on behalf of the left. There she was a member of the Interior Committee until 2014.

In September 2014 Marion Junge was re-elected to the Saxon state parliament via the state list of the Left and was chairwoman of the petitions committee and a member of the school committee.
