Marios Efstathiadis

Marios Efstathiadis (born November 26, 1979 in Larnaka ) is a handball player . He plays in the back room and is right-handed. The right-hander moved to Greece in 1999 and applied for Greek citizenship in 2005.

Efstathiadis was born in Cyprus in 1979 , where he grew up and started playing handball at the age of six. Until 1999 he played with Anorthosis Famagusta. He then played at the Panellinios Gym club. Syllogos (1999/2000), SPE Strovolos Nicosia (2001/2002), Panellinios AC Athens (2002-2004) and played for the club HC Athaninaikos Athens until June 2006 . From July 2006 he played in the Stralsund HV team in the 2nd handball league, North season. At the end of the 2007/2008 season, his contract was terminated, Efstathiadis went back to his homeland for private reasons and played again for the club SPE Strovolos, with whom he was champions in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and cup winners in 2009 and 2011. In 2011 he moved to the team of the European University Cyprus and won the championship again in 2012 and 2013 and the cup in 2013.

With the clubs Anorthosis Famagusta, Panellinios Gym. He played Syllogos, SPE Strovolos Nicosia and Panellinios AC Athens in the EHF Cup and the EHF Champions League .

Marios Efstathiadis was in the squad for the Cypriot national team , including for the qualifying games for the 2010 European Handball Championship .
