Marius Garten (born February 8, 1988 in Berlin ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Hannover Scorpions in the Oberliga Nord since July 2018 .

Career

Marius Garten comes from the Berlin Capitals junior division . Between 2003 and 2006 he played for the Jungadler Mannheim in the German Junior League and won the league championship three times in a row. During this period he also played five games for ERC Mannheim in the regional league , as well as one game for the Heilbronner Falken in the major league . The winger then moved to Eisbären Berlin in the German Ice Hockey League . Mainly he played during his time with the capital city but for the Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the upper league.

In the summer of 2008, the right-shooter was signed by REV Bremerhaven from the 2nd Bundesliga , for which he scored ten points, including four goals, in a total of 45 games in the 2008/09 season. For the 2011/2012 season, Marius Garten changes within the league to the Hanover Indians .

In the summer of 2013 he completed the summer training with the Dresdner Eislöwen and shortly before the start of the season received a one-year contract. A year later, Garten returned to the Fish Town Penguins. In January 2015, he returned to the Ice Lions after 29 games for the Pinguins without scoring.

International

For Germany , Garten took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2006 , in which he and his team took eighth place.
