Mkhondo is a municipality in the Gert Sibande district, Mpumalanga Province in South Africa with its seat in Piet Retief . Bhekabantu Hamilton Mtshali is the mayor.

The parish is named after the Mkhondo River that flows through the parish. It has an area of ​​4882 square kilometers.
