Marius Lampert

Marius Lampert (born February 25, 1902 in Ardon ; † March 30, 1991 , Catholic , resident in Ardon) was a Swiss politician (CVP) .

biography

Marius Lampert was born on February 25, 1902 in Ardon as the son of the farmer Camille Lampert and the Odile née Clemenzo. After attending the business school in Sion , he completed a degree in economics at the University of Geneva with a licentiate . He also obtained the diploma of the Association of Swiss Book Experts.

As a result, he taught commercial science at the commercial school in Sion from 1930 to 1953 . In addition, Lampert acted in 1952 as a co-founder of the Valais Wine Industry Association and from 1941 to 1953 as a member of the central committee of the Swiss Fruit Association in Zug .

Marius Lampert was married to Marie-Eugénie nee Clemenzo. He died in Ardon on March 30, 1991, one month after he had turned 89.

Political career

As a member of the Conservative Party officiated Lampert at the municipal level from 1932 to 1952 as mayor in Ardon. At cantonal level, he was initially represented in the Valais Grand Council from 1949 to 1953 , before he headed the Department of Home Affairs and Agriculture in the State Council between 1953 and 1969 . In addition, he took 1,955 to 1,975 seat on the Council of States , of which between 27 November 1972 26 November 1973 as Senate President .

As a representative of the farmers' interests , Marius Lampert held numerous mandates in all agricultural areas of Switzerland.
