Marjaleena Lembcke

Marjaleena Lembcke-Heiskanen (born February 4, 1945 in Kokkola , Finland ) is a writer.

Marjaleena Heiskanen studied theater studies in Finland and moved to Germany in 1967. From 1972 to 1975 she studied sculpture at the Art Academy in Münster . Her first literary works were written in Finnish, but today she works in German. She writes for children and adults. Her books have been translated into thirteen languages. Marjaleena Lembcke is married, has a son and lives in Greven . Her books are currently published by Verlag Nagel & Kimche Verlag and Residenz Verlag .

She combined six of her books into a series in which the first-person narrator is four years old and the last volume is eighteen. These include My Finnish grandfather , The time of secrets , The summer when everyone was in love , When the stones were still birds , And behind it the sea and farewell to the red house .
