The Mark Twain street is a street in the Munich district Pasing-Obermenzing that was built about 1900. It was named in 1947 after the American writer Mark Twain (1835-1910).
history
The street originally called Kirchenstraße connects Alte Allee with Barystraße . It was part of the expansion planning for the Pasing II villa colony between Alter Allee and Pippinger Strasse , which has not yet been implemented. Between Barystraße 10 and 12 there is a vacant lot owned by the City of Munich, so that Mark-Twain-Straße can be extended towards Pippinger Straße at any time.
Until the First World War , only two villas were built in Mark-Twain-Straße, No. 2 and 4. The street, which was laid out as an avenue , was completely built up in recent decades.
