Pasing II villa colony
The villa colony Pasing II is a single-family house colony in Munich - Pasing . It was built on the model of a garden city .
history
The idea for the Pasing II villa colony west of the Würm also came from August Exter , but the planning failed. In 1897 Exter gave up its construction business and gradually withdrew from the architectural profession. Contrary to the often given assumption that Exter had also built the Pasing II villa colony, the aforementioned undeveloped property became the property of Terraingesellschaft Neu-Westend AG in 1899 . The majority shareholder was the Frankfurt banking house Lazard Speyer-Ellissen, managed by Georg Speyer . The development of the area was carried out by the terrestrial society. Exters debts to the city of Pasing were taken over by the royal branch bank. 90 houses had been built by 1900, but then construction progress stagnated. In 1929 106 houses were under construction for which several hundred initial inquiries had been received.
The settlement with numerous listed buildings stretches today from the railway line in the south and west to the Würm in the east and Bergsonstrasse in the north.
