Mark Childress
Mark Childress (* 1957 in Monroeville , Alabama ) is an American writer .
Life
He grew up in the Midwest and in the southern states of the United States on. After graduating from the University of Alabama in 1978 , he worked as a reporter for several newspapers in the southern United States .
Childress published five previous novels , his most successful book, Crazy in Alabama , was ten months on the bestseller list of the mirror . Mark Childress is considered one of the most important new writers in the southern states and is sometimes compared to Harper Lee . He currently lives in New York and New Orleans .
