Mark Crear

Mark Crear (born October 2, 1968 in San Francisco ) is a former American hurdler .

In the 110-meter hurdles at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, he won the silver medal behind his compatriot Allen Johnson and ahead of Florian Schwarthoff (GER), although he broke his arm two weeks before the games. At the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 , he was seventh. On July 5, 1999, he set his personal best in Zagreb with 12.98 seconds. The following year he won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney behind Anier García (CUB) and Terrence Trammell (USA).

He received his doctorate in theology in 2002 and has been a preacher ever since.
