Anier García

Anier García (born March 9, 1976 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a Cuban athlete who won the gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. He was the second Cuban Olympic champion on a running track - after Alberto Juantorena in 1976 (400 and 800 meter run).

At the World Championships in Seville in 1999 and Edmonton in 2001 , he finished second.

He was one of Cuba's great hopes for a medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and won the bronze medal.

Anier García is 1.89 m tall and has a competition weight of 79 kg.
