Tonie Campbell

Anthony Eugene "Tonie" Campbell (born June 14, 1960 in Los Angeles ) is a former American hurdler .

In 1983 he won the bronze medal in the 110-meter hurdles at the Pan American Games in Caracas . The following year, he finished fifth in the 1984 Olympics in his hometown of Los Angeles. At the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Indianapolis in 1987 , he secured the title in the 60-meter hurdles after the two favorites Mark McKoy fell by fall and Greg Foster by disqualification from the rating.

Campbell celebrated the most important success of his career at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul. In the 110-meter hurdles he won the bronze medal in 13.38 s behind his compatriot Roger Kingdom (12.98 s) and the British Colin Jackson (13.28 s).

Tonie Campbell is 1.88 m tall and had a competition weight of 77 kg.
