Daniel Kinsey
Daniel Chapin Kinsey (born January 22, 1902 in St. Louis , Missouri , † June 27, 1970 in Richmond , Indiana ) was an American athlete . With a height of 1.83 m, he had a competition weight of 72 kg.
At the Olympic Games in 1924 Daniel Kinsey won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.0 seconds at the same time before the South African Sidney Atkinson . His only win outside of the Olympic Games was at the American University Championships ( IC4A ) in 1924.
After graduating as a Ph.D. Kinsey worked as a teacher at Oberlin College until 1959 , before moving to Earlham College in Richmond as head of the physical education department. In the 1960s, he also briefly served at Delta College in Bay City, Michigan.
