Career

In the club

De Man started his football career as an 8-year-old with Stormvogels Haasrode . After two years he moved to the Oud-Heverlee Löwen club . In 1996 he played one season for the youth of Racing Jet Wavre , but then returned to Oud-Heverlee. In 1998 he moved to the top Belgian club RSC Anderlecht .

In 2002 he made his debut for the Anderlecht senior team and in 2003 he was definitely a player in the first team. Already in 2004/2005 he was able to collect a surprising amount of match practice for Anderlecht. In 2005, thanks to coach Franky Vercauteren and the injury to Vincent Kompany , he rose to become a regular in the senior team.

Mark De Man took over the partnership of a fan club based in Leuven on December 23, 2005. This fan club is the largest fan club of the RSCA in Flemish Brabant and is authorized to sell tickets for all RSC Anderlecht matches.

In the summer of 2008 he signed a three-year contract with the Dutch club Roda JC Kerkrade , but moved back in January 2009 after only 7 games and went to Antwerp ( Germinal Beerschot ), where a large part of his family lives. He stayed there until the winter break of 2010/11 before he was loaned to the Oud-Heverlee Löwen . He then played for the Oud-Heverlee Löwen in the second half of the season and was then declared without a club in the summer. After two months without a club, he then moved to the third division to Sporting Hasselt ; he was active there until summer 2012. Then there were positions at Excelsior Veldwezelt and KHO Stade Bierbeek before he ended his active career in 2014

In the national team

From 2007 to 2008, Mark De Man was also active in the national team and made four international matches for Belgium. He made his debut on March 24, 2007 in the European Championship qualifier against Finland.
