Mark Dundas, 4th Marquess of Zetland

Lawrence Mark Dundas, 4th Marquess of Zetland (born December 28, 1937 ), less formally called Mark Zetland , is a British peer . From 1961 to 1989 he was known by the courtesy title of Earl of Ronaldshay .

Life

Mark Dundas is a son of Lawrence Aldred Mervyn Dundas, 3rd Marquess of Zetland and Katherine Mary Penelope Pike. His education he received in the Harrow School and at the University of Cambridge accompanying Christ's College .

In the August 4, 1959 broadcast episode of the game show Tell the Truth (English To Tell the Truth ) joined Mark Dundas than betting candidate. In 1994 he was appointed Deputy Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire County. He currently resides in Aske Hall , a country estate two kilometers north of Richmond in North Yorkshire.

Mark Dundas is the older brother of rock musician David Dundas . He married Susan Rose Chamberlin on April 4, 1964. The marriage had four children:

  • Lord James Edward Dundas (born May 2, 1967)
  • Lady Henrietta Kate Dundas (born February 9, 1970)
  • Lady Victoria Clare Dundas (born January 2, 1973)

House of Lords

In 1989, after the death of his father, Dundas inherited the title of Marquess of Zetland and the associated seat in the House of Lords . With the House of Lords Act 1999 he lost his seat again.
