Maximilian "Max" Jansen (born May 26, 1993 in Datteln ) is a German soccer player . The midfielder is under contract with MSV Duisburg .

Career

Born in Dattelner, he first played for FC Rhade in Dorsten-Rhade , where he grew up. From 2004 he was trained for four years at FC Schalke 04 , before moving to VfL Bochum in 2008, where he played in their youth teams until 2012. From January 2012 he was also used in the reserve team playing in the West Regional Football League . In this he quickly gained a regular place. In the summer of 2014 he signed a two-year contract with third division club Hallescher FC . Before that, he had been able to convince those responsible in a one-week trial training session. At HFC he was able to establish himself immediately in the central midfield. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season he moved to the second division club SV Sandhausen , where he received a three-year contract.

For the 2019/20 season, Jansen went to Belgium to join the second division Royal Excelsior Virton after 33 league games for Sandhausen .

After the third match day, the midfielder left the club and went back to Germany, where he signed a contract with MSV Duisburg, who had been relegated to the 3rd division , until June 2021. He scored his first goal on June 10, 2020 in Duisburg's 3-1 away win on the Betzenberg in Kaiserslautern .
